Tucked beneath the shade of canyon live oaks, this little cottage feels like home. This one bedroom, one bath cottage has a full size bed in the bedroom, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. Two rocking chairs beg to be pulled up to a fireplace made of local river rock. A blanket chest crafted of local cedar accents the bedroom. No frills, just plainly, but adequately appointed. The kitchen is roomy and equipped to meet the needs of most cooks.  There is also the added convenience of a washer and dryer in the house.

Located on Highway 187 just north of Vanderpool, and only four miles from Lost Maples State Natural Area , 20 miles from Medina - the Apple Capital of Texas - and 15 miles from Leakey, this cottage is situated ideally to accommodate the visitor with diverse interests. The Orchard Inn does not allow pets!!

The Orchard Inn is situated on six acres near the owner’s own home. A short hike down to a secluded picnic area along the Sabinal River - just across the road offers a great place for a private river picnic. On the grounds Big Tooth Maples add a brilliant display of color in the fall. Amenities include a washer/dryer, A/C, central heat, barbeque pit, microwave, picnic table, hammocks, and campfire pit. A peaceful cottage in a peaceful valley the Orchard Inn is a home away from home. No smoking inside pleas.
